Our neighborhood has people from various walks of life: retired grandparents, working single moms, singles, families with teenagers, grandparents with their grandkids, families with young children and more! The park and soccer field are bustling with life most days; and when school lets out, the pool is teeming with life for the summer!
With all these great features, one of the best yet is our green belt. It’s the preservation of our neighborhood, where mature trees stand next to newly planted baby trees. The creek passes through bringing all kinds of nature’s critters. One highlight in the green belt is a tree that was shaped smooth and carved with a chain saw to reveal images of the little critters and nature’s gifts! It’s a great symbol of a community who appreciates things long forgotten!
Giving to your neighbor; watching over your neighbors homes and children; building true friendships and letting people into your home.
One of the best reflections of the heart of the people of Wood Creek is the new teeter-totter in our park, dedicated to one of our youngest residents who left her family and friends too soon. The pink seesaw is dedicated to Lauren Hilsheimer, for all children to play on. To learn more about the Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation please visit their website here.
A community that walks together, pulls together, and takes care of each other… What more can you ask for in the place you choose to plant your roots?
