It’s that time of year again, just a friendly reminder on parking rules and regulations. Below is Section 20-15-6 of the Jenks City Code:

Section IV – Private Covenants

A. Development and Construction Standards:
16. Recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, campers and other large recreational equipment shall not be stored on any lot for a period exceeding 24 hours, if in view of the street or adjacent Lot Owners. Any variation must be approved by the Homeowners’ Association.

These regulations and covenants have been enacted for our safety and protection of property values. Remember, a vehicle or trailer parked in the street or blocking a sidewalk is creating an obstacle that kids have to go around as well as obstructs the view of oncoming traffic. With many teenagers enjoying their first wheels, phones, radios, etc., let’s do our best to protect them, the smaller kids, and adults who enjoy an evening walk in the neighborhood. In the past, Jenks Police has been contacted to begin writing tickets. Please be considerate and communicate with your neighbors when a party is planned or short term parking is needed.

TRASH CAN ETIQUETTE

This is probably the most reported issue to the HOA and the easiest for homeowners to comply with. Please pull your trash cart the few extra steps to your side yard or better yet, behind the fence. Trash carts should not be left at the curb or on the driveway for more than 24 hours following trash pick-up.
