Pool Safety & Security Concerns:
With the pool now being opened a little over a month, the HOA has already received more reports of safety and security concerns this year than in the past three combined. Concerns and incidents include Unsupervised, underage children swimming; Eating food while in the pool; Smoking in both the pool and picnic areas; Inappropriate displays of affection; Riding scooters into the pool; Jumping the fence; Propping the pools gates open; to name a few. As you can see, most of these incidents are simply a lack of respect for posted pool rules. However, last night things escalated beyond rule breaking to actual vandalism to the east side pool gate found completely broken off from its hinges. The neighborhood will incur a significant cost because of this damage and if posted rules continue to be disobeyed, we risk having our pool permit revoked by Tulsa County.
Until further notice, the following rules will be reinstated:
▻ NO Food or Drink Allowed Within Fenced Pool Area, Picnic Area ONLY
▻ NO SMOKING, ANYTIME – The Neighborhood Pool, Picnic, Soccer Field and Park Areas Have Always Been Smoke Free
▻ NO Scooters, Skateboards or Non-Pool Approved Toys Allowed
▻ NO Children Under Age 12 Allowed w/out Parent, Guardian, Adult of Legal Age
▻ Maximum # of Guests for Any One Family is Now (4) & Must Be Accompanied by the Homeowner Always
▻ No Public Displays of Affection Allowed, Anytime, Any Area
▻ NO Gate or Fence Jumping – If Caught, Risk Losing Pool Privileges for the Remainder of the Summer.
Lost Keys Can Be Replaced For $15. Repair of the Gate Costs HOA $250 or More.
Along with the rule changes above, the following additional actions will be taken to ensure the protection and security of our kids, residents, guests and property are enhanced for the remainder of the summer:
▻ Additional Video Camera Being Installed to Monitor Pool & Deck Area
▻ Last Night’s Video is Being Reviewed to Identify Parties Responsible for Gate Damage and Will Be Turned Over Jenks Police Department (JPD)
▻ JPD is Now Aware of Vandalism, Expect to See Police Surveillence Increase
This is the first summer the HOA has had to take this kind of action and am hopeful it will be the last. Our residents have always been very respectful of one another, both young and old. This is truly at the core of what makes our neighborhood so special. I thank each of you for your understanding of the necessity for these new measures and encourage everyone to take an active role in ensuring our neighborhood is safe, secure and fun for everyone this summer!
